- Hmmmmm.....
-
- I just installed BC5.00 and I am not happy with the results:
-
- 1. On my notebook the initial panel which allows you to install the
- various pieces (cpp, installshield, pvcs, etc) came up with a
- pure gibberish font, totally unreadable. if it weren't for the
- icons I would not have known what the components were.
-
- 2. Everything installs OK, but it does not recognize the format
- for 4.5 projects. This one may be my fault, but it would sure
- have been nice if it would have converted the project on the
- fly.
-
- 3. Here's where I got curious. I decided to pay Borland's web site
- a visit to see if there were any patch files for 5.0 yet... Low
- and behold a 1.5MB patch file!!! So I look into the readme, you
- can't believe the number of bugs in this brand new code!!!
-
- So I download the patch file and try to run it. IT ABENDS, and
- says I need a new version of PATCH.EXE. Well I just downloaded
- this version from their WWW site....!
-
- I hope you have better experiences than I did!! This puppy is going
- back.....
