  15. I just installed BC5.00 and I am not happy with the results:

  17. 1. On my notebook the initial panel which allows you to install the
  18.    various pieces (cpp, installshield, pvcs, etc) came up with a
  19.    pure gibberish font, totally unreadable. if it weren't for the
  20.    icons I would not have known what the components were.

  22. 2. Everything installs OK, but it does not recognize the format
  23.    for 4.5 projects. This one may be my fault, but it would sure
  24.    have been nice if it would have converted the project on the
  25.    fly.

  27. 3. Here's where I got curious. I decided to pay Borland's web site
  28.    a visit to see if there were any patch files for 5.0 yet... Low
  29.    and behold a 1.5MB patch file!!! So I look into the readme, you
  30.    can't believe the number of bugs in this brand new code!!!

  32.    So I download the patch file and try to run it. IT ABENDS, and
  33.    says I need a new version of PATCH.EXE. Well I just downloaded
  34.    this version from their WWW site....!
